Singing Bird in a gilded cage, circa 1900. Made in France by Bontems. Small size, 30cm tall. Beautiful blue feathering and green velvet base.  Fully restored with original foliage. The bird moves its head, beak and tail. Birdsong is particularly loud and clear. Some wear to gilding on base commensurate with age. Guaranteed five years (UK only).  An antique high quality clockwork automaton by the famous Parisian maker.
