Clockwork Father Christmas Nodder, c.1950, papier mache body with wooden base and neck.. 45cm tall, a rare survivor in its original costume and in very good working order.
This automaton nodder was designed for shop or domestic use with a long duration clockwork motor that will keep the automaton working for several hours on a single wind.
The automaton works well and requires a basic understanding of clockwork to make sure the head is ‘in beat’ for reliable prolonged nodding. Guaranteed for two years (UK customers).
