Puss in Boots

Puss in Boots automaton, very rarely available. Made in the workshops of Roullet and Decamps, Paris c.1900

Character automaton of a life sized anthropomorphic white cat dressed in a cape and boots and carrying a sword.

The long duration clockwork mechanism causes the head to rock steadily to and fro whilst the mouth moves open and shut.

Made of Papier Mache and wood with a white fur covering, painted teeth and green glass eyes. The cat stands securely without a base supported by his tail.

Condition is excellent with clean unworn original fur.
