Dancing Doll made by Marenghi of Paris c.1900. Classic dancing doll using one of the best mechanical methods of portraying dancing. The seemingly random twirls and spins of the doll are accompanied by a fine swiss music box powered by a substantial clockwork motor. The doll has a bisque china head with blue glass eyes. With an original pink dress and miniature hair wig the doll has a cork body with wooden legs. The doll will dance for an extended period of 10-15 minutes on a wind. Guaranteed for two years.
