Cat in a Milk Churn

Musical Automaton Cat by Roullet & Decamps, Paris C.1930.

Wind up and remove the lid. The fluffy Cat rises up out of the milk churn, turning its head. In time to the music the Cat laps with its tongue before diving back suddenly into the churn and repeating the sequence.

Clockwork mechanism with musical movement. The papier-mache Cat covered in white fur with good quality green glass eyes.

A variation on the ‘Rabbit in a Cabbage’ automaton also produced by R&D for many years, the original catalogue illustration from the 1878 edition.
