The photograph shows a small monkeys head by Phalibois. The neck core had been eaten by woodworm until it collapsed, you can see a new neck core at the bottom of the pen. The neck core has been drilled for the operating cords and the retaining wire harness. This head also requires replacement upper and lower leather lips.
Note the detached jaw and the particularly fine wig, well suited to the monkeys role as violinist on top of a small barrel organ.
